    Responsibilities

    Licensed Professional Counselors are needed for a part-time opportunity to provide individual therapy, family therapy and behavior management support to older adults as part of a multi-disciplinary team.  Providing geropsych services is challenging but amazing work.  Some of the cases involve intimate situations, raw emotions, resolving unfinished business, preparing for death, respecting the knowledge behind the dementia, and helping individuals find purpose/meaning in their current stage of life. Prefer candidates with experience working with clients that have Severe Persistent Mental Health (SPMI). Clients served will typically have diagnosis' of Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder and Bipolar Disorder (but not required).

     

     

    Qualifications

    This position requires licensing in the state as a Licensed Professional Counselor.
